MYTHS CORRECTED BY SCRIPTURAL FACTS

Myth #1: “Money is the root of all evil”

Scriptural Fact: 

“For the love of money is the root of all evil” (I Timothy 6:10)

When used wisely, money can:

Feed and clothe the poor, shelter the homeless and build churches and schools.

 

 

Myth #2: “Success is having a big house, nice car/bike and lots of money.”

Scriptural Fact:

"But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it." (I Timothy 6:6,7)

Jesus said:

"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven... For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." (Matthew 6:19-21)

 

Myth #3: “Who needs God or religion?  I can do fine on my own.”

 

 

Scriptural Fact: 

Jesus said:

“I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me you can do nothing.”

 (John 15:5)
