Our Lady Queen of Peace began as a mission of St. Bridget's, Glassboro. It was established as a parish in December 1940 under the pastoral care of Father (later Monsignor) James C. Foley. The church, located at Pitman Avenue and Highland Terrace, was dedicated on April 22, 1954.
