St. Luke, Stratford, was erected as a parish on January 9, 1961, with Monsignor Patrick J. Madden as pastor. The combination church-hall was constructed in 1962 and the school and convent during the next five years.

The school opened in September 1962. The new church building (1996) reflects the latest Liturgical norms for worship and celebration of the mysteries of our faith.
