Matching Gifts:
If your employer or company has an employees matching gift program,
you may "double the impact" of your gift by requesting a matching gift
form from your company and including it with your pledge card.
Securities:
Gifts of appreciated property such as stocks, mutual funds, bonds, IRAs and
retirements provide some the best ways to give. A gift of appreciated property
can significantly reduce or eliminate capital gains taxes. Upon the receipt of a
gift of securities, the Diocese of Camden will sell the stock and the value of the
gift will be determined at that time. It is important that YOU do not sell the stock,
but rather give it to the Diocese first. Those wishing to give stock may contact the

Liquid Property:
A gift of other property that is easily liquidated can be a significant way to make a
gift to the HOUSE OF CHARITY - BISHOP'S ANNUAL APPEAL, while reducing capital gains taxes.

There are a number of wonderful planned giving mechanisms which provide the opportunity
to make meaningful gifts while enjoying substantial income and tax benefits that can also
help enhance your future financial well-being. These include: Charitable Gift Annuities,
Charitable Remainder and Lead Trusts and other Life Income Plans. What is unique about
these plans is that they offer the opportunity to make a gift to your Church at a level
