St. John of God, North Cape May

Our Lady Star of the Sea, Cape May, and later St. Raymond's in the Villas, served the people of North Cape May until the establishment of St. John of God parish on May 23, 1966, with Monsignor Hudzik as first pastor. At first, Mass was celebrated in the Townbank Fire Hall. In November of 1968, St. John of God church-hall was dedicated by Bishop George H. Guilfoyle. A new church was dedicated on June 4, 1983 by Bishop Guilfoyle during the pastorate of Father (later Monsignor) William Quinn.
